Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery has announced that the company’s all servo driven Rotary Filler will be featured during Pack Expo, to be held during October 28 – 31, 2012, at McCormick Place in Chicago, Illinois.

The Rotary Filler's servo driven design facilitates seamless phasing of timing screws, turret stars, and auger filler electronically, eliminating the time and cost associated with mechanical adjustments, according to the company.

Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery sales/marketing vice-president Timm Johnson said the system stores turret/timing screw position when it is shut down and automatically re-homes after an e-stop condition when the system is restarted.

"Servo technology also promotes enhanced performance of the unit's No Container/No Fill feature because it enables the auger to stop more quickly," said Johnson.

The company also added that the machinery has been designed to accurately fill a variety products, such as spices, non-dairy creamers, coffee and cornstarch, into a variety of bottles and other rigid containers at rates of 100 to 400 units per minute.

US-based Spee-Dee Packaging Machinery is a manufacturer of equipment to measure and fill dry products into consumer size containers (bags, bottles, pouches, cans and cartons). The company caters to diverse market segments, including the food, chemical, pharmaceutical and agricultural industries.
