According to the statistics of Statistical Office of the European Union, Estonia’s volume of goods trade was USD14.01 billion from January to June in 2016, up 1.9% year-on-year (the same below). Exports grew by 0.1% to USD6.51billion, and imports grew by 3.5% to USD7.50 billion. The trade deficit was USD0.99 billion, up 32.7% from last year.

In June, Estonia’s volume of goods trade fell by 2.4% to USD2.37 billion. Exports fell by 2.4% to USD1.10 billion and imports fell by 2.4% to USD1.27 billion. And the trade deficit fell by 2.0% to USD0.17 billion.

Since January to June, bilateral trade volume between Estonia and China grew by 2.3% to USD0.45 billion. Estonia’s exports to China were USD0.08 billion, up 3.7%. It barely changed from last year, accounting for 1.2% of Estonia’s overall export. And Estonia’s imports from China reached USD0.37 billion, up 2.1%. It accounted for 5.0% of Estonia’s overall imports, down 0.1% over the previous year. Estonia’s trade deficit with China grew by 1.6% to USD0.3 billion.

China was the fifteenth largest export market of Estonia and the ninth largest source of imports up to June in 2016.
