From January to February in 2016, Brazil’s imports & exports volume was USD 45.22 billion, down 21.5% by year according to the Brazil’s foreign trade secretariat. The exports volume was USD 24.59 billion, down 4.7% and imports volume was USD 20.63 billion, down 35.2%. The trade surplus was USD 3.96 billion, compared with the trade deficit in the same period of last year.

In February, Brazil’s imports & exports value was USD 23.65 billion, down 12.5% by year. Exports value was USD 13.35 billion, up 10.4% and imports value was USD 10.30 billion, down 31.0%.The trade surplus was USD 3.04 billion, compared with the trade deficit in the same period of last year.

From January to February, imports & exports value of 2015 between Brazil and China was USD 7.23 billion, down22.6%. Brazil’s exports value was USD 3.21 billion, down 11.7%. It accounted for 13.1% of Brazil’s total exports, down 1.9%. Brazil’s imports from China reached USD 4.02 billion, down 37.9%. It accounted for 19.5% of total imports, down 0.9%.

Brazil’s trade deficit with China was USD 810 billion from January to February, down 77.6%.

Up to February, China has become the largest market for Brazil’s exports and the largest import source of Brazil.
